a simply warm ‘hello’ every time you open your phone?
a little kiss on the forehead when you’re having your bad day?
someone who wants to listen to your story of your long-gone-dog over and over again?
someone who will offer themselves as a company when you have to take a long walk just because you need a slice of cake for your sugar rush?

the fact is you don’t really need one
but you just stick with ‘em without any good reason
you just want him, or her, to stay

maybe that is why.
